The Stupak amendment attached to the House bill prohibits abortion coverage in the public exchange.

The abortion procedure is the only health procedure prohibited in the bill. This amendment discriminates against women and attacks a woman’s right to choose.

Although it passed in the house bill, pro-choicers in Congress, including our very own Tammy Baldwin, have made it clear that they will not allow the amendment to be in the final health care reform bill.
