Mark Green's editorial in the Badger Herald is quite laughable. While Green claims that Pell Grant funding has almost doubled during his time in Congress, Green neglects to mention that he has NOT supported those increases. In fact, as Governor Jim Doyle mentions in his Badger Herald editorial, Green actually voted to freeze federal Pell Grants for several years in a row! Plus, in February Green voted to clash nearly $13 billion from student financial aid - the largest cut in the program's history!! All this from a candidate that writes the he's not going to allow more "students to be priced out of the opportunity of a UW education"? Well, pricing students out of a higer education is exactly what Mark Green has done in Congress.
