Santorum Stays Behind
The northeast's biggest rightwinger, Rick Santorum, looks as if he's headed for almost certain defeat as he trails his challenger, Bob Casey Jr., 48% to 40% in the most recent poll.

Santorum, long heralded as the son of the conservative revolution, has made a point of being far to the right of his moderate constituents in Pennsylvania. Casey, a pro-life Democrat, seems to be beating Santorum on the economy, the war in Iraq, and the environment.
